And of course, what is a mad scientist without a monster, right? Like Frankenstein's monster or Sephiroth, they would be full of existential dread and brooding contemplation.

I think I wrote this at a time when I was interested in stacking fourths and fifths to make chords, instead of using thirds. I mean, you could probably analyze this piece as using inversions of standard 7th and 9th chords, but you get some really interesting tone color without having such a thick texture this way.
